What is shockwave therapy (SWT)?
Shockwave is an acoustic wave which carries high energy to painful spots and myoskeletal tissues with subacute, sub-chronic and chronic conditions. The energy promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the bones, tendons and other soft tissues. SWT accelerates the healing process in the body by stimulating the metabolism and enhancing blood circulation to regenerate damaged tissue. Strong energy pulses are applied to the affected area.
